Jacob Wilson Sey
Anomabo-born carpenter and palm-wine tapper who built a large fortune in the palm-oil trade at Cape Coast. As first president of the Aborigines' Rights Protection Society he financed its 1898 deputation to England against the 1897 Lands Bill.
