Yesterday's Architect
John Sarbah the Elder
Fanti merchant of Cape Coast who built a network of stores, trading stations and agents along the central Gold Coast in the late 19th century. He helped open export channels in palm kernels and rubber and extended trade into southeastern Ivory Coast.
